Addiction - Junior Bosila, Kalliopi Tarasidou

14.8.2019

Addiction is a duet between Kalliopi Tarasidou, a Greek dancer and myself. This talented dancer is known in the environment to be an outstanding perfectionist; «a cyborg» as some people nicknames her. As for me, I am an addict of the performance, it is moreover this need, this desire of performance artist that created my atypical style.

Addiction is much more than an additional show in my career. This creation represents the outcome of working years. Indeed having performed on the most beautiful French and European scenes with my Companies that is Wanted Posse (French Company) and Flying Steps (German Company). I had dashed in 2009, in the creation of my first solo show «Buanattitude». This successful show, which turned and still turns in every corner of the globe, allowed me to acquire  choreographer’s cap. However to choreograph oneself and to choreograph other dancers does not represent the same work. That is why I worked hard these last ten years by feeding me of numerous creations which i was able to attend; by discussing a lot with numerous renowned choreographers whom I was able to meet such as Sylvain Groud, Vartan Bassil or still Amala Dianor with whom I co-choreographed the duet «Extension». Thus it is the logical result that to want today to think, to write and to create my first play as only choreographer.

Thus on stage you can observe Kalliopi in his work of execution, precision, with one Calligraphic movements and an almost hypnotic dance. And myself, in my bubble of search, working figures aiming to be more spectacular the some than the others. In our character traits, we join: of his perfection Kalliopi becomes successful and of my need for performance I become a perfectionist.

Our two dynamisms are going to overlap here to rise and surpass itself ...
